Chick Fil A Recipe (or pretty darn close)

*Disclaimer–This recipe is not a confirmed Chick Fil A recipe as Chick Fil A does not give their recipes out.*

So, I was thinking yesterday about the fact that we love Chick Fil A here. Especially my son. He could be content with never eating anything else other than Chick Fil A nuggets I think. However, there is not one close to us and if we eat there it is VERY rare. So, I started thinking that there HAD to be a recipe out there for them. So I used the all-mighty, all-knowing Google and discovered a recipe. I just wish I had chosen to Google BEFORE I went to the grocery instead of after because I am now just needing one ingredient. But I am excited to try this recipe so I thought I would pass it along. Also if anyone has tried it, what did you think?

Chick Fil A Chicken Sandwhich (and Nugget) Recipe

3 cups Peanut oil
1 Egg
1 cup Milk
1 cup Flour
2-1/2 Teaspoons Powdered sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
2 Tablespoons Salt
2 Skinless, boneless chicken breasts, halved
4 Plain hamburger buns
2 Tablespoons Melted butter
8 Dill pickle slices

Mix together the egg and milk. Place the filets in this mixture, and let
sit for at least an hour.
While the breasts are sitting, mix together the Flour, Sugar, Pepper, and
Salt.
Once the sitting is done, dredge in the flour. (For ourselves and our
favourite customers, after the first dredging, we would put them back in the
milk bath for a few seconds, and re-dredge! This is not company policy,
however!)
Place the Peanut oil in a deep fat fryer, and bring up to a high heat.
Once up to 375 F., gently drop into the oil, and let cook until golden
brown. (This is for those of us who do not have a pressure cooker. If you
do, follow the note below!)

Note: Chick-Fil-A actually uses a Pressure Cooker to cook the Filets in. If
you have one, use the peanut oil according to the instructions for frying in
it. Desired heat is 400 F. Once steam starts shooting through, cook for
about 4 Minutes.
Lightly butter the buns, and grill until heated through. Place two
pickles on each bun, and place a hot breast on each!
Servings: 4

>Things I am loving..

>     Normally I don’t get into decorating too much. Mainly because to truly decorate to my hearts desire would cost me a fortune. Plus I don’t really have a set style. I love the look of Tuscan Furniture. I would love to have room just devoted to this theme. But then all also love Bamboo Furniture.

I found some great things on Become, which is another great online shopping site that compares prices for you, including this gorgeous chandelier:

GORGEOUS! Definitely loving the look! There is so much on Become! I especially love the Resource Center!
